Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common patient questions. If you don’t find your answer, contact us.

Do I need to fast before my test?

Fasting is required for some tests (fasting glucose, lipid profile, fasting insulin). It's not required for most others (CBC, thyroid, urine routine, CRP, dengue). Your booking confirmation will list any specific preparation. In general, 8–12 hours of overnight fasting is enough — plain water is allowed.

How long does it take to get my report?

Most routine biochemistry and hematology reports are released the same day. Specialised tests (thyroid profile, HbA1c, CRP, dengue, PCR) take 24–48 hours. Histopathology and FNAC reports take 3–7 days. We send the report by WhatsApp and email as soon as it is verified.

Do you do home sample collection?

Yes. Our trained phlebotomist visits your home or office at a time slot convenient to you, with proper cold-chain handling. Home visits can be scheduled by calling us or sending a WhatsApp message. A nominal collection charge may apply depending on your area.

Are your reports accepted by other doctors and hospitals?

Yes. Our reports follow standard NABL-style reporting formats and reference ranges and are widely accepted by consultants and hospitals across Nashik and beyond. Each report is signed by Dr. Thigale (MD Pathology) and includes the lab's letterhead.

What if I need to re-test or have a discrepancy?

If you or your doctor has any concern about a result, we will repeat the test free of charge. Bring the original report with you. Dr. Thigale personally reviews any flagged or discrepant results before they are released.

Do I need a doctor's prescription?

A doctor's prescription is recommended for accurate interpretation, but most routine tests (CBC, sugar, lipid, thyroid) can be done on a self-request basis. Tests like FNAC, biopsy, and IHC require a clinical note from your referring doctor.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit/credit cards, and bank transfer. For home visits, payment is collected at the time of sample collection. For packages, a 10% discount is offered on upfront payment.

Is the lab accredited?

We follow NABL-equivalent quality protocols — internal quality controls daily, external proficiency testing, and calibration of all analyzers. For specific accreditation certificates, please call us to confirm the latest status.

Can I get a copy of my old reports?

Yes. We maintain records of all reports. Call or WhatsApp us with your name and approximate date of testing — we'll email a soft copy the same day at no charge.

What if I have a question about my report?

Call us and ask to speak to Dr. Thigale's desk. For specific clinical interpretation, we recommend discussing the report with your referring doctor. We do not provide medical advice over the phone — we explain what the test measures and what the reference range means.
